Persino i mitici ranger sono indecisi, quando si tratta di premere il grilletto contro dei cowboy che se la prendono con le banche. Per il pubblico americano, dopo la crisi del 2008, l'immagine delle banche è sicuramente cambiata. Hell or high water è una favola amara con poliziotti che sembrano stanchi di difendere un sistema che è marcio, poi ci sono i cowboy fuorilegge moderni, costretti a rubare per pagare i debiti derivanti da usura bancaria.
Sembra follia rubare i soldi, per ridarli alle stesse banche da cui li hai rubati, eppure è così!
Alla fine ci sono i cadaveri, perché la legge degli dei delle praterie selvagge e pagane esige sacrifici, ma i soldi rimangono, il malloppo rimane sempre lì, come un miraggio di benessere ed elevazione nella scala sociale.
Come dice un vecchio proverbio cinese "l'antenato di ogni uomo ricco è un ladro".

In the end there are the corpses, because the law of the wild and pagan grasslands gods, requires sacrifices, but the money remains, the loot is always there, like a mirage of well-being and elevation in the social scale.
As in the old Chinese proverb say "the ancestor of every rich man is a thief."
