Nessuno vi aveva mai raccontato la schiavitù a questo modo. Free State of Jones è un film sulla guerra di secessione, ma non è intriso della solita retorica o peggio militarismo del cazzo. Protagonista un Matthew McConaughey in splendida forma, ma brilla anche Mahershala Ali per l'intesità della sua recitazione. Una mia vecchia professoressa mi disse che se volevo capire le guerre dovevo capire gli aspetti economici che le generavano. Ci sono però altre guerre, quelle interiori, quelle che a volte scatenano eventi che, al contrario delle parole, cambiano davvero il mondo.
No one had ever told you slavery in this way. Free State of Jones is a movie about the Civil War, but it is not soaked with the usual rhetoric or whorse the shitty militarism. Starring a Matthew McConaughey in great shape, but also shines Mahershala Ali for the intensity of his acting. An old teacher told me that if I wanted to understand wars, I had to understand the economics facts around that. But there are other wars, inner ones, those sometimes trigger events that (unlike words) can really change the world.
