Map of the stars

É da un po che David Cronenberg mi delude, Questo film inizialmente sembra volare alto negli stessi cieli di un certo signor David Lynch, ma ha finito per farmeli rimpiangere. La storia sembra scritta per far critica a quel mondo hollywoodiano distorto e tragicomicamente eccentrico, ma poi si impantana nella Débâcle di una famiglia di schizofrenici.

Devo dire che ho visto una performance attoriale molto migliore della trama, un buon John Cusack ma soprattutto una Julianne Moore molto capace, in un ruolo che non deve essere stato molto facile per lei.

Lately David Cronenberg disappoints me. Map of the stars initially seems to fly high in the same heavens of a certain Mr. David Lynch, but it end up make me regret that heavens. The story seems to critique that  Hollywood world, tragicomically distorted and eccentric, but it bogged down in the débâcle of a schizophrenic family. 

I have to say that the actor's performance is much better than the plot, a good John Cusack and a very capable Julianne Moore in a role that should not have been so easy for her.
