Only lovers left alive è una cagata.
L'avevo già visto succedere, ogni tanto i registi trasformano i set dei film nella loro cameretta dei giochi. È un errore che ha reso inguardabili film come this must be the place. Chi fa la regia ci chiede cioè, di immedesimarci in lui e non nella storia, che per la verità qui è davvero poca (non sto neanche a raccontarvela).
Only lovers left alive è un film naturalmente osannato dalla critica, lento fino al parossismo, che cerca di trarre la sua giustificazione dal fatto che i vampiri sono decadenti e annoiati perché vivono da migliaia di anni. Vampiri senza poteri, a parte toccare le chitarre e capire quanti anni hanno, che girovagano anemici e drogati, che non attaccano la gente per berne il sangue, ma solo perché è fuori moda, che leggono libri antichi, che scrivono la storia artistica dell'umanità (ma da dietro le quinte), che sono ancora abbastanza fighi da avere una vita grunge e ascoltare Jack White.
Sapevo già che i film di Jarmusch erano leeenti, ma così è davvero troppo.

I had already seen it happen, sometimes the filmmakers transform the sets of the movie in their play games. It is a mistake that has made unwatchable movies like this must be the place. The director asks us to empathize with him and not with the story, which is very little here (I'm not even want to tell it to you).
Only lovers left alive is a critically acclaimed movie of course, slow to paroxysm, which find its justification from the fact that vampires are decadent and bored creatures because they live for thousands of years. Vampires without powers, except for touching the guitars and figure out how old they are, they roam like anemics junkies, they don't attack people just because it's out of fashion, they read antique books and write the artistic history of mankind (but behind the scenes), and being pretty cool they have a grunge life and listen to Jack White's music.
I knew Jarmusch's films were too slooow, but that's just too much.
